Checking a creator before you buy

Creator fees are real money: up to a few percent of every trade. Where they go says a lot about how a team plans to work. Here is how to read it.

Start with the checker

Paste the token address into the token checker. It tells you, for any Pons v2 token, who receives the creator fees today, how much the creator earns per trade, and, when there is a Feeroute vault, the split, the timelock, and anything waiting to change.

Reading a report

  • Route status at the top: whether Pons pays the fees to the vault right now. If not, the split only covers what the vault already received.
  • Current split: who gets what, which shares vest, and which wallet is the owner's.
  • Pending changes: any new split, route change, or Pons admin change, with the time it can apply.
  • Every sweep: amounts and transactions, so you can follow the money on Blockscout.
  • The Analytics and Holders tabs: what trading has earned the creator, and how concentrated the supply is.

Green and red flags

Green flagsRed flags
Fees routed to a vaultFees go to one wallet with no public rules
Owner's share capped at creationA vault exists but fees are not routed to it
Team shares vestA route change away from the vault is waiting
Timelock of 48 hours or moreNo timelock, or a very short one
Regular sweeps that pay the named walletsA Pons admin recipient change is queued
A red flag is a question, not a verdict
Most Pons tokens send fees to one wallet simply because that is the default. Ask the team; a good answer is a public split.

Stay informed

  • Tap Watch on a report to add the token to your watchlist. Pending changes and unrouted fees are flagged there.
  • Changes lists every split or route change waiting in a timelock across all vaults.
  • Sweeps shows every payout run with its transaction.

What this cannot tell you

  • Feeroute shows where creator fees go. It does not rate a token, a team, or a price.
  • The creator cap covers the owner's own address only; a creator can control other wallets in the split.
  • Fees after a token graduates to its Uniswap pool are not tracked yet.
  • The contracts are beta software and have not had a third-party audit.
