Choosing a split holders trust
There is no single right split. There are splits holders can understand at a glance, and splits that raise questions. Here is how to land on the first kind.
What holders look for
- How much goes to the creator's own wallet, and whether a cap set at creation keeps it from ever going higher.
- Whether team shares vest, so nobody can take a month of fees on the first day.
- Named wallets for marketing or a reserve, so spending has a visible source.
- A timelock long enough to react to a change: 48 hours or more.
- Regular sweeps, which show the money actually reaches the people named in the split.

Examples, not advice
These show common shapes, not what your team should do. Pick shares you can explain in one sentence to a holder.
Practical tips
- Use a separate wallet per purpose. Labels are public and stored on-chain, up to 31 characters.
- Keep shared money in a multisig such as Safe. If a recipient wallet needs more than 50,000 gas to accept ETH, its share is held for it and released later, so contract wallets work.
- Fewer recipients mean cheaper sweeps. Each one adds a payment to every sweep, up to 10.
- Each wallet can appear once; the vault rejects duplicates.
- The creator cap only covers the vault owner's address. If you control other wallets in the split, say so on your site: holders will find out anyway.
- You can change the split later, but every change waits out your timelock in public. Start with something you would be happy to keep.
